On behalf of Lolina Menargues Godoy, the English speaking section would like to thank Jack and Pat Roe who have been running the Sunday market stall in Pinar de Campoverde. Jack and Pat feel now is the time to take life a little easier and will be finishing at the end of this year.

Sweet Charity Celebrates Light up a Life
The air will be filled with smells of mince pies, spice wine, evergreen and sounds of joyous carol singing. Christmas trees with lights and hand written cards will commemorate the lives of loved ones since passed or the lives of those who suffer, along with their carers, as they are confronted with the daily hardship of coping with terminal illness as Sweet Charity launches their annual ‘Light up a Life’ campaign. Cheers Bar in San Miguel is leading the region wide celebrations on December 3rd at 5.00pm with a festive Christmas show. The Infinity Duo, Starlight Musical Academy with a special rendition of  ‘the Night before Christmas’  and the Soave quartet are all lined up to perform your favourite Christmas sing-a-long tunes. On December 13th Eddie Wallace and Co. will be performing at a special Sweet Charity Christmas Diner dance and show. Casa Nicolas in Torrevieja is the proud sponsor of the evening which will also present the magical ‘Light up a Life’ festivities as well. The organisers at Sweet Charity Hospice Fund are thrilled to announce that Casaverde Seniors Residence in Torre de la Horadada (Dec 14th); Rayan’s Irish Tavern in Catral on December 17th and O’Grady’s Bar in Playa Flamenca on December 22nd, will all be joining in the celebrations as well. So check the ‘Light Up A Life’ calendar for a celebration near you. Buy a SCHF Christmas raffle ticket for only 1 € and you could win a Cruise for 2 people (donated by Viages Espagne) or 500€, 300€ or 200€ cash. (Donated by Viking Homes and Properties of Villamartin) Or how about an electric bike donated by David Williamson? The monies raised at our Christmas events and Raffle will go to the SCHF Angel Network of Carers and Nurses and to the newly established SCHF Benevolent Fund. These funds will assure terminally ill patients and their families that they can count on Sweet Charity to receive compassionate care and peace of mind in the final chapter of their lives together. Come out and Light Up A Life! Help us to support them with love, hope and dignity!
