  Dramatic Licence
Following the great success of our show ‘Don’t Dress for Dinner’, we are now in the process of planning our autumn production, ‘Season’s Greetings’ by Alan Ayckbourn. We have a core of experienced actors, directors and backstage workers, but would like to recruit more people, particularly younger people to join us. Pre-requisites are that members live within easy travelling distance of Quesada, that they are able to make a commitment to the group and are able to rehearse in the evenings at the Salon Cultural in Daya Nueva.  For more information please call Suzanne Stokes on 680 961 025 or Madelene Harwood on 966 730 786

  Pilar de la Horadada Museum
Pilar de la Horadada’s Casa de Cultura play host to some of the region’s most varied and interesting displays and exhibitions but how many of us walk past its permanent museum into the exhibition room without catching a glimpse into the town’s history? The Museo Arqueológica – Etnológico opened it’s doors in 1994 thanks to private donations and deposits. Today, the collection is divided into five sections from environment, fossils and archaeology to ethnology and numismatic. At the heart of this is the office of Mr Gratiniano Baches, the first person to begin archaeological studies in Pilar de la Horadada in the early 20th Century. The museum continues his dedication to archaeology even now by coordinating excavations to help with scientific research and to increase the museum’s collection.
