Monday 15th January saw us half way through our league season with the "A" teams having had 2 byes against the non-existent Hot Rock Cafe "A" team which means that the "B" teams have only played 12 games against the "A" teams 14. So now we should see a few changes over the next 14 weeks.
At the half way stage we have 4 - "A" teams at the top and 4 - "B" teams at the bottom - wonder how many upsets there will be by the end of the season?
Sportsman "A" have once again shot to top position with their big win over Kelly O’Brian’s "B" who now drop to the bottom spot - Mike is pleased but I bet Dorothy is not quite so happy.
My team of Kelly O’Brian’s "A" just went down on the last game of the last leg against Jan’s Shady’s "B" but we did have the consolation of Tom and Jim winning all their 3 games just to prove a point. Did you know Jan that according to your score sheet you thought you were playing against a team from Billie’s Bar but don’t worry, as long as you turn up at the correct venue it’s alright on the night.
Richard’s Siesta "B" team did well to knock Brian’s Shady’s "A" off the top of the table - could this be a turning point for his brave battlers.
Now watch Catorce "B" as they came alive with that big win over Ayliff´s Billy’s "A" to climb off the bottom spot. It’s all uphill from here.
Derek’s Hot Rockers, who are getting to like playing at the Sportsman Bar, fell foul to Tom’s Catorce "A" and let them leapfrog over them in the table. Is this the beginning of the end?
Keep pegging the points and feeding the oppositions boxes. Your ever patient scribe
