We are into the second week of the season. Tuesday 23rd we were supposed to play away at Quo Vadis but due to the bad weather Quo Vadis was unable to accommodate us, the bar still being closed. As a result of a meeting between the two captains, Gary (Quo Vadis) and Ruff Nuts (Bilbo´s) we decided to exchange venues. They used Bilbo´s as their home game and Bilbo´s will play their home game at Quo Vadis. What nice people we are.
The singles got under way. Not a lot in it between both teams, in saying that a mention has to go to Mark (vice capt Bilbo´s) who seven balled his opponent Tony, well done Mark, games going one way then the other. After the singles the scores were equal at 3-3.
A break for some food before the doubles, nice one Emma. After a hard fought two games of doubles, Bilbo´s had the magic 5, can’t lose now the pressure was off with the last game going to Quo Vadis. Final score Bilbo´s 5 Quo Vadis 4 and yet another game played in good spirit with both teams enjoying the evening. Thank you to Gary and his team and well done again to Bilbo´s. Two wins out of two, keep it up.

The only other story I have to report on is Digby´s Captain Mark who told me he did get in touch with Jaspa´s to try to re arrange the game, but Para’s claimed the 9 points for a no show on week 1. One for Rene to sort out I think. Don’t forget any stories about your game. Get in touch. Until next time. G.A.F.Y.
